Eem is my adorable new Betta "Fighting" Fish. a friend gave him & his bowl to me so the only thing i had to pay for was his food & a water purifier. quite a gooddeal. ;D anyways, why the name Eem you might ask. well, really because it sounds cute. *hides face in hands in embarrassment over this display of girliness* but Eem is also Elvish for I. i found that out at this

Jane Austen on PBS

Last night the first in the installment of the Complete Jane Austen aired on Masterpiece (Formally Theater). The one that played was Persuasions. I think I fell in love with Captain Wentworth. *happy sigh* I mean, what's Mr. Darcy to a naval officer? I mean, really. Anywho, I could so relate with poor Anne Elliot. Well, not the turning down true love part, the unrequited love part.The pining after someone you think is lost forever part. *dramatic sigh* Field & I loved the sisters, Louisa & Henrietta. They sorta reminded us of ourselves. ;D

Ya know, I think one reason I really liked this movie was because the main man wasn't wearing leggings! To qoute Larry the Cucumber "I don't look good in leggings". Too true! Or wait, maybe he was. I don't remember now. *rubs temple*

7. my favorite outfit is as follows: a navy & grey striped sweater (w/extra long emo sleees) under a purple graphic (black heart with a rose goin down the center, the rose is crying blood. two pistols cross the heart. purple & black paint splatters) tee. black or written-on-khakis s bottoms.

Swaziland

as I'm sure most of you know, my sister, my mom & my self are going to Swaziland, Africa in January. we are going with Lisa Samson (And her eldest daughter) & Claudia Mair Burney to name some of the writers going on the mission trip with us.
we are leaving at the end of Jan & will be there for ten days, returning in February.
please pray for us & for my dad as he is the one staying with my millions of little siblings.
thanks. (i'll write about the spiritual aspects & significance of this trip etc. at a later time.)

tobymac, TFK, BarlowGirl

last night, Field (my sister), Berry (one of my best friends), Findecáno (berry's brother), Amras (my bff, even though he IS a guy), Huor & myself our Chaperone went to a CONCERT! i LOVE concerts! my cousin, Moth, met us up there with her dad. well, actually i should say DOWN there, since it was in Hattiesburg. an hour south of me. ya know who was preforming? (well you can probably guess if you paid ANY attention to the title of this post!) tobymac & TFK! (Thousand Foot Krutch for you music ilits) oh, & BarlowGirl. but i dont like them. Hour did though. he got a crush on the drummer of BarlowGirl. & Moth loved her hair. "Very hard-core" she said. it was blond & flippy & looked like a heavy metal's hair. but BarlowGirl's anything BUT!
ok, concert started with guess what?-they couldnt find the light switch! now, normally, that would be a good thing. no lights! woo! but, they couldnt find the light switch to turn OFF the lights. yeah. not good. so, tobymac came up on stage & started throwing the football to members of the audience. (in your FACE Bubba! ;P & sometimes a member of TFK or a back-upper for T. Mac would launch themselves into the crowd & catch the ball! it was so fun!
FINALLY the concert started. (though they never found the switch for some of the lights.) Field, Findecano, Moth, Amaras & myself went up right against the "saftey fence" (yeah, safe for the singers. not for us. i twisted my ankle when i jumped on the fence's support.) for TFK.
for you who dont know, TFK is a hard rock/screamo band. their main singer, Trevor McKnevan discovered Hawk Nelson, so i pretty much owe them my snaity & life during these turbulent teenage years. ;D http://www.thousandfootkrutch.com/
then therewas a break, in which Moth & i scrambled for a drink & Moth bought a TFK shirt during BarlowGirl. (we dicieded to skip BarlowGirl) after BarlowGirl ( http://www.barlowgirl.com/ . they are WAY to mellow for moi.) there was a LOONG (15 minutes!) break for tobyMac ( http://www.tobymac.com/ ) to get set up.

HOLLYWOOD NOBODY

Hollywood Nobody is the 1st book in the 'Nobody' series, following the adventures of 15 (almost 16!) Scotty.

Scotty is the daughter of a crazy food designer & caterer for movie sets. Scotty's crazy mom, Charley & Scotty live in a rainbow colored RV/Van. Charley is vegan, & Scotty a cheese-aholic, which is a constant source of amusement as cheese is Scottys "rebellious" weakness, as she will sneak out to restaurants, stores, etc. to get some "forbidden" cheese. LOL!

Scotty also has a blog entitled, "Hollywood Nobody" where she 'scoops on Hollywood "somebodies", life at movie sets, & random cleb stuff.

One of the clebs that her blog is following when the book starts is a young actor, Seth Haas, who has yet to hit it big. To Scotty's surprise (& pleasure) Seth is going to be playing the lead role in the movie that Charley is working at. The movie (directed by Charley's love interest & close friend, Jeremy) is a modern retelling of "The Great Gatsby" ( Seth's character, Gatsby, is emo. Does that give you an idea of how modern? ;D). Scotty & Seth meet on a beach one night & a friendship starts.

Another key aspect is Charley's secrets. At one point Scotty tells Seth that on certain days of the year, Charley cries all day long & Scotty has no idea why. Scotty also has no idea who her father is. And Charley won't say a word.

Scotty's adventures are completely enjoyable & fun. I'll revisit Hollywood Nobody anytime!

Hollywood couples...sigh...

I've been thinking about Hollywood lately. The whole Zanessa/Vanessa (Hudgens) scandal started it. It makes me sick. I can't even listen to/watch HSM (High School Musical for all you cultural ilits) without thinking about that! It wasn't eve her scandal that started it, it was all those disgusting pix of her & Zac (Efron) in Hawaii. (That reminds me, I hate those names for celb couples like, "Brangelina" & "Zanessa" & "Zashley") And it was also watchin High School Musical the Concert & seeing Vanessa & Ashley's (Tisdale) outfits & dances. Not to mention V's song! *Shudders*

Then there's Nicole Richie & Joel Madden. For those who don't know, Joel Madden is in "Good Charlotte". A band that is anything BUT! Richie & Madden are apparently engaged, & expecting. But that doesn't seem to stop Madden fom going back to ex girl friend Hilary Duff. Madden was said to be the "Love of Duff's Life". Wonder why. It really seems so sad though, that all these beautiful, rich, famous girls hace to fall all over them selves for a stupid guy! Take Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie. They have been a couple for years & even have a kid or two, & Jolie is arguanly one of the most beautiful women in the world. But, does that stop Pitt from going to stuff with ex wife, Jennifer Aniston? NO! Hmm, I detect a pattern here. "Hot" (I put in the "s case I think Madden & Pitt are both ugly. 'Nother post.) guys get "hot" (Again, "s cause Richie freaks me out!) girls, something happesn (In Richie's case, gets pregnant) & guy gets another girl. ("Ooh! Momma! Look! Modern day harems!") I don't know about you, but I think this may explain a small part of the lack of self-respect that many girls have. I know that 've seen stuff just like this happen to my own friends. Beautiful, sweet girls, dating some loser jerk because they want love. EVEN THOUGH they KNOW the guy is cheating/using them. So, thanks alot Hollywood. I do have a piece of advice for those cleb girls, "FIND JESUS & A NEW GUY!"
