7. my favorite outfit is as follows: a navy & grey striped sweater (w/extra long emo sleees) under a purple graphic (black heart with a rose goin down the center, the rose is crying blood. two pistols cross the heart. purple & black paint splatters) tee. black or written-on-khakis s bottoms.

Swaziland

as I'm sure most of you know, my sister, my mom & my self are going to Swaziland, Africa in January. we are going with Lisa Samson (And her eldest daughter) & Claudia Mair Burney to name some of the writers going on the mission trip with us.
we are leaving at the end of Jan & will be there for ten days, returning in February.
please pray for us & for my dad as he is the one staying with my millions of little siblings.

tobymac, TFK, BarlowGirl

last night, Field (my sister), Berry (one of my best friends), Findecáno (berry's brother), Amras (my bff, even though he IS a guy), Huor & myself our Chaperone went to a CONCERT! i LOVE concerts! my cousin, Moth, met us up there with her dad. well, actually i should say DOWN there, since it was in Hattiesburg. an hour south of me. ya know who was preforming? (well you can probably guess if you paid ANY attention to the title of this post!) tobymac & TFK! (Thousand Foot Krutch for you music ilits) oh, & BarlowGirl. but i dont like them. Hour did though. he got a crush on the drummer of BarlowGirl. & Moth loved her hair. "Very hard-core" she said. it was blond & flippy & looked like a heavy metal's hair. but BarlowGirl's anything BUT!
ok, concert started with guess what?-they couldnt find the light switch! now, normally, that would be a good thing. no lights! woo! but, they couldnt find the light switch to turn OFF the lights. yeah. not good. so, tobymac came up on stage & started throwing the football to members of the audience. (in your FACE Bubba! ;P & sometimes a member of TFK or a back-upper for T. Mac would launch themselves into the crowd & catch the ball! it was so fun!
FINALLY the concert started. (though they never found the switch for some of the lights.) Field, Findecano, Moth, Amaras & myself went up right against the "saftey fence" (yeah, safe for the singers. not for us. i twisted my ankle when i jumped on the fence's support.) for TFK.
for you who dont know, TFK is a hard rock/screamo band. their main singer, Trevor McKnevan discovered Hawk Nelson, so i pretty much owe them my snaity & life during these turbulent teenage years. ;D http://www.thousandfootkrutch.com/
then therewas a break, in which Moth & i scrambled for a drink & Moth bought a TFK shirt during BarlowGirl. (we dicieded to skip BarlowGirl) after BarlowGirl ( http://www.barlowgirl.com/ . they are WAY to mellow for moi.) there was a LOONG (15 minutes!) break for tobyMac ( http://www.tobymac.com/ ) to get set up.

HOLLYWOOD NOBODY

Hollywood Nobody is the 1st book in the 'Nobody' series, following the adventures of 15 (almost 16!) Scotty.

Scotty is the daughter of a crazy food designer & caterer for movie sets. Scotty's crazy mom, Charley & Scotty live in a rainbow colored RV/Van. Charley is vegan, & Scotty a cheese-aholic, which is a constant source of amusement as cheese is Scottys "rebellious" weakness, as she will sneak out to restaurants, stores, etc. to get some "forbidden" cheese. LOL!

Scotty also has a blog entitled, "Hollywood Nobody" where she 'scoops on Hollywood "somebodies", life at movie sets, & random cleb stuff.

One of the clebs that her blog is following when the book starts is a young actor, Seth Haas, who has yet to hit it big. To Scotty's surprise (& pleasure) Seth is going to be playing the lead role in the movie that Charley is working at. The movie (directed by Charley's love interest & close friend, Jeremy) is a modern retelling of "The Great Gatsby" ( Seth's character, Gatsby, is emo. Does that give you an idea of how modern? ;D). Scotty & Seth meet on a beach one night & a friendship starts.

Another key aspect is Charley's secrets. At one point Scotty tells Seth that on certain days of the year, Charley cries all day long & Scotty has no idea why. Scotty also has no idea who her father is. And Charley won't say a word.

Scotty's adventures are completely enjoyable & fun. I'll revisit Hollywood Nobody anytime!

Hollywood couples...sigh...

I've been thinking about Hollywood lately. The whole Zanessa/Vanessa (Hudgens) scandal started it. It makes me sick. I can't even listen to/watch HSM (High School Musical for all you cultural ilits) without thinking about that! It wasn't eve her scandal that started it, it was all those disgusting pix of her & Zac (Efron) in Hawaii. (That reminds me, I hate those names for celb couples like, "Brangelina" & "Zanessa" & "Zashley") And it was also watchin High School Musical the Concert & seeing Vanessa & Ashley's (Tisdale) outfits & dances. Not to mention V's song! *Shudders*

Then there's Nicole Richie & Joel Madden. For those who don't know, Joel Madden is in "Good Charlotte". A band that is anything BUT! Richie & Madden are apparently engaged, & expecting. But that doesn't seem to stop Madden fom going back to ex girl friend Hilary Duff. Madden was said to be the "Love of Duff's Life". Wonder why. It really seems so sad though, that all these beautiful, rich, famous girls hace to fall all over them selves for a stupid guy! Take Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie. They have been a couple for years & even have a kid or two, & Jolie is arguanly one of the most beautiful women in the world. But, does that stop Pitt from going to stuff with ex wife, Jennifer Aniston? NO! Hmm, I detect a pattern here. "Hot" (I put in the "s case I think Madden & Pitt are both ugly. 'Nother post.) guys get "hot" (Again, "s cause Richie freaks me out!) girls, something happesn (In Richie's case, gets pregnant) & guy gets another girl. ("Ooh! Momma! Look! Modern day harems!") I don't know about you, but I think this may explain a small part of the lack of self-respect that many girls have. I know that 've seen stuff just like this happen to my own friends. Beautiful, sweet girls, dating some loser jerk because they want love. EVEN THOUGH they KNOW the guy is cheating/using them. So, thanks alot Hollywood. I do have a piece of advice for those cleb girls, "FIND JESUS & A NEW GUY!"

'Irresistible Revolution'

I just finished 'Irresistible Revolution' by Shane Claiborne. You may have heard of this book-or even read it!-as it has become quite popular among the Christian community. And for good reason! IR's (Irresistible Revolution) author, Shane Claiborne, is a, well, I'm not quite sure what you would call him. I think he's one of those people who cannot be defined by one word. Or even two. Of course none of us can. But some more so than others. I suppose the word that would best speak for Claiborne is, a Jesus Lover. OK, so that's two. You know what I mean! Now, let me explain my choice of words.

I chose those words because the chapter of IR that most impacted me was one where Claiborne was describing a Jesus new to me. (But hopefully not to you.) A Jesus who was more than Sunday School stories & lofty glass images. See, I always sorta wondered, "Why would Jesus bother with me?". I mean, I knew the whole, "God so loved the world..." thing. But, I always just took it for granted. Or thought about it a just a parent/child sort of thing. It never struck me that Jesus loved me. Passionately. And that he would be someone I would want to return those feelings for. Claiborne showed me a new Jesus. A wild, exuberant one. A king. (But not that boring, stuffy kind. Think more along the Lord of the Rings' king, Aragorn.) A Jesus a bit like me. One who felt intense emotions & pain. For me.

A little while before I started IR, I went thru a very hard time where two close friends were arrested, & one came dangerously close. That really shook my world. I remember thinking (& saying), "I would do anything to take their place. So they don't have to go thru this." And then it clicked. "Oh. That's what Jesus did for me." He didn't want me to go thru what he eventually went thru. So he did what I wanted to do for my friends. He took my place for me. He went thru the worst pain (physical & emotional) so I wouldn't have to.

And he did that for every single person in the world. So, if he would do that for them, shouldn't they get the chance to know about it?

Thinkpiece: What if you paid bail for someone you didn't even know, so they wouldn't have to endure their sentence. Wouldn't you want them to know? Well, maybe not. But I'm not very good at this. (I'm only a teen!)

Also, shouldn't people that Jesus loved enough to die for, we love too? Whether that love comes in the form of feeding the poor, giving money, doing mission work, or even opening your home up to others. Whatever your calling is, find it.

.

That, to me, is the point IR's author is trying to make. So, thank you Mr. Claiborne, for opening up my eyes to a holy God lover.

hard stuff..

as some of you know, my Gradfather died Sunday, & my dad's stepdad died at the beginning of the month. so, I've now been to two funerals in a month. & 3 visitations this month. the 1st was my friend Failariël's mom. her mom's death was compleatly unexcpected & tragic. that was the 1st visitation i had ever been too. i dont mind death, but dead, waxy bodies in coffins? UGH! (*shudder of revulsion*) what's the worst is looking at a person that you've seen alive, breathing, thinking, laughing, crying, speaking, & now they're a poor wax figurine imitation of someone. the spirits gone, the body's dead, what's the point? everyone reading this this is an official announcment by me: I REFUSE AN OPEN-CASKET VISITATION! thank you. & dont think i'm joking! if i die & you dont say anything & they have an open-casket for me, i'll come back & haunt you, 4 real! more on this subject later.

Right now I'm writing a book. So if I don't post for a while, my apologiys. (However you spell that.) Also, I'm in a real moodswingy mood. I was listnin to Evanesence. And now, I'm too embarrassed to admit who I'm listening too. Let's just say, usually to sugary sweet for my taste. And mild. Ahh, emotions. I hate bein' on their rollercoaster. GET ME OFF! PLEASE! Oh. I'm leaving nxt week. I'm ridin a plane for the 1st time. I didn't sleep at all last night. I have medical Insomnia. Funny thing is, I just bought a CD named Insomniatic. And that song's 1 of my favorites on that CD. Huh. Life's funny. In a cruel, evil, twisted sorta way.

My 4 Fears

I'm only afraid of 4 things. Other people seem t have this huge list of things. Some say they're not afriad of anything. I know better. you see, I may not have quite figured myself out (I don't believe anyone can truly know themselve, but that's another post.) bt I do know what my fears are.

My biggest fear, that haunts me almot daily, is taht something terribe would happen to a friend. Whether it be they get injured or killed, or do something like drugs or get pregnant. I used to live in constant fear of a call saying "So-&-so's in jail/the hospital."

Number 3 is of being betrayed by someone close, or being pushed aside for something else. So, I guess rejection. But I've hadto leanr to cope with that sinceit's a part of my every day life. I may even become an expert on rejection.

Then (This sorta ties in with #2) I am afriad of people discovering who I really am, since then, they always leave. At the same time, I want to be true to myself & have friends who see & love me for who I am.

My last one (And the most trivial) is of getting old. Not that I'm scared of dying! On the contruary! (But I don't wanna go ito that 'cause then I might get sent to a counseler.) What I'm afraid of is not being able to take care of myself. And doing the things I like most.

this font is red. the color of my blood. actually mine's darker. almost black. you may be wondering, "why's she talking like this? oh no. what's she gonna do now!?", but, i promise. im all right. sorta. ive been thinking alot about the spiritual. i feel, trapped, in the body of a 13 year old. my thoughts & feelings are those of one almost twice my age. people judge me by my age, my dark clothes, my grades, etc. i hate judging. i can't stand people who judge. unfortunatly i do it myself too. i wish i didnt. its the thing that makes me feel guilty weeks later. i hate racim. in any & all forms. whether discriminating against color, clothing style, looks, grades, friends, whatever. what i hate most of all, is when people are nasty to my friends about being goth or emo. especially if they're not Christians. & the people being racist to the say they are. i mean, if youre a real follower of God, then you'll want to bring people to him. now, if someone (And some have) came up to me & said, "You're goth. (Or whatever) So you're going to Hell." i would probably tell them to go to Hell themselves. (Sorry. its the truth.) so, to me, if i hear someone saying that who claims to be a Christian, i want to (& sometimes do!) ask them if theyre Christians, then why are they acting worse than most who abhore God. thats my sermon of the week. take it or leave it.

today p2

after the radio station we went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch, then my mom took me to the Crisis Pregnancy Center to volunteer for the afternoon. 1st, Eáránë & i folded & sorted baby clothes for an hour &-a-half. 2nd, Earane left to bbysit & i continued to fold clothes, 3rd, i went out to a storrage shed & carried & stacked & pulled-dwn, & put-up, & did in general very backbreaking work, so Ms. Bettie could cattalog stuff. 4th, Earane & i orgaized womens clothes til dad came & got us. Ms. JT said we did a wonderful job!

Today...

today was a busy day for me. first i went to a local Christian radio station w/ my familly to pick up a prize packet for my mom. the station's crew gave us a tour & let my little brothers & sisters sing & talk into a mic, they recorded it. they said the might play it later in the week. i talked to the manager about playlists & artist & upcoming concerts. *GASP!* tobyMac is coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In late fall. maybe Bubba will take Olwe for his birthday

...I haven't posted in forever. I was grounded for a week-&-a-half. Not that anyone noticed, of course. (JK) Um, so, HI!-to anyone reading. Centrifge

My youthgroup wnet to Centrifuge last week. We had a most awesome time. There was some drama involved the first week. But, we evened it out. There were some girls who were going really boycrazy, some gossip going around, some out-of-control-tempers, but, all-in-all, it was a good week. The worship band, The Trae Castles Band was AWESOME! Their song, 'Tell the World' is stuck in everyone's head. That's a good thing! And I keep singing 'One Way, Jesus!'. Now I'm listening to, 'Constant'. Two girls received Christ! Praise! I love you Bre & V! Two guys who had always been shyer & on the outside, on became a valued confidant, & the other, a heartthrob! Really! When we left, thee was a group of people surrounding him, & some girls were even crying! Whoa, Mattman! ;) So, that's the funner stuff. I have one story that I just have to tell! I was walking around in my swimsuit & skirt w/ a girlfriend, (Toni) she had gone ahead to talk to someone, & as I walked by a bench filled with boys, "Hey baby!" On of them called out. Just as I snapped my head around to glare at them, a group of leaders passed by, including Trae! (Main singer of The Trae Castles Band. Totally hott. Definitely one of the 5 hottest guys I've ever seen. A Christian hottie, on fire for God & in a band! Doesn't get any better than that! ;) He heard them say that, & his head SNAPPED over their way, & gave them the evilest, you're-in-so-much-trouble, look, I started laughing. The guys got scared & jumped behind the bench. That succeeded to make me laugh so hard, I was gasping & clutching my stomach. I told her & she laughed too. That was fun.

When it's just to hard...

Life's really hard right now. I just want everyone to shut up & leave me alone. I'm exhausted. I fell asleep today as I was walking. I'm getting sick really easy. (Hormones) But, my friends have it even worse. One of my closest friends is under aresst. And having a super hard time in hr personnal life. Another is having serious issuses, at hom, at school, & at work. Speaking of wich, I hate his job. But, last night I had the most wonderful time at church. I had a "Spiritual High". Seriously. I got to church & was feeling kinda low, but, the second I got to church, I felt like I was high on drugs. It was weird. I was just jumping, & laughing & praising God. I even sang unexpectidlly on stage! So, I'm stuck in a tunnel I can't see the end of. I can see a light but I don't know what that light is. I don't know what this tunnel is either. But, I know I'll get to the end, & then I'll be able to see it. And why I had to go through it.

You'll never be happy living your life for others. Live for Him and impressing everyone else, or receiving praise from everyone else won't seem quite so important anymore. "

Today was the last (Planned) fundraiser for my youth group. It was a car wash, & I'm SOOOOO compleatly sun-burned! It doesn't hurt that much though... Calafalas (Not real name) got HORRIBLY sun-burned! Everyone kept saying, "Calafalas! You are so burnt!" "Why does everyone keep saying that!?!" He would ask. "'Cause you are!" I replied. We didn't make very much money. :(

I wanted to donate my money that I've rasied 'cause my parents can pay for it. Some other kids who have to rasie the money by themselves could really need it! One very good thing about the church we're going to is that it's really opened my eyes & heart to the hardships & pains of others. Anyways...

Four of my friends weren't there. Olwë, (Again, not real name.) his little brother Pimpernel, Nienna & Anaranë. Anarane was at a softball game. Nienna has enough money raised so she can go to camp. I don't know where Olwe & Pimpernel were. I saw both of them today (YES!) but forgot to ask them.

Va tech tragedy

I'm sure you've all heard about the tragedy at VA Tech. I've been praying for those killed & wounded & they're families.

What causes someone to go as maniacal (Is that a real word?) as Cho did? What's the point? Why kill others that have done nothing to hurt you what so-ever? I've heard some express wondering if was he demon possessed/oppressed? I mean, tons of people get "bouts of depression". I get those. Most of my friends get those. Do you see us going out & killing 33 people!?! NO! Something MUST be wrong with the mental &/or spiritual makeup of someone like that. What makes you DO that? What made Cho & Luke (Who did the shootings at Pearl HS.) I'm not trying to go into a big psychological discussion. I'm just making an observation.

So, if anyone has any answers... We need to remember the victims & they're families in our prayers. And also pray that it doesn't happen again.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Ok. I wanted to post about the something that happened at a concert we had at our church Sunday. Well, I had brought one of my friends who's really gorgeous & nuce with me. So, I was talking to my crush afterwards, (Still can't think up a comp screen name for him. Help please!) & he said, "Oh, Anna! How old is your friend, Bri?" I could feel myself turning red & crumbling. He had never noticed any girl except me before! "Oh, um. She's twelve." (He's sixteen) "Oh. Twelve." He said & walked away looking dejected. I ran up to Bri, & pulled her aside. "Bri! I am so (*this was said playfully*) ticked at you!" "Why?" She asked. "Crush (that'll have to do for now) just asked how old you are! He was gonna ask you out!" She laughed & rolled her eyes. She thinks he's silly.)
